18th Annual Sitton-Babcock Public Affairs Golf Tournament
On June 29, 2010, the 18th Annual Sitton-Babcock PAC Golf Tournament will be held at the Osage National Golf Resort. Registration begins at 11:00 a.m. with lunch at 11:45 and tee off at 1:00 p.m. This venue is a good location for this fundraiser with a challenging layout set on the beautiful landscape of the Lake of the Ozarks. All proceeds from this event go directly to the Motor Carrier Public Affairs Committee, the political action committee of the Missouri Trucking Association. This tournament continues to be a major funding source for our PAC. All checks must be made payable to Motor Carrier Public Affairs Committee.
As I'm sure most of you are aware 2010 is an election year and a very important one. Term limits are creating some real challenges and opportunities with many good friends of the industry being forced into early retirement. Others are seeking higher office. Several state Senate races this year will feature one, two and in some cases even three candidates that have been supportive to trucking over the years. Being involved in an election cycle means many things, one of the major missions is to be able to support candidates financially who support the trucking industry. Making time to be a part of this event not only will be a fun day of golf, but it will have a positive impact on your business.

Unlike other MoTA events, sponsorships are not limited to MoTA members but we hope that they will be the first in line to support the tournament. I urge you to participate in this important fundraising effort. It is not necessary to be a golfer to contribute to this worthy cause. To ward off rain June 29th we have scheduled a rain date for this event - July 27th.
