With the multitude of issues facing the trucking industry and business in general, you need a strong voice in the Missouri Capitol. The lobbying efforts of the Association include direct contact with legislators, as well as, legislative bulletins to the membership. These bulletins keep the membership advised of legislation so that members can contact their elected officials. Lobbying activities also include contact with various state agencies with regard to procedures, rules and regulations.  Membership doesn't cost-it pays $$$.

In return for your investment you receive newsletters, monthly magazine, bulletins and special notices containing the latest information available on trends developing in the industry. What's in it for me?  PERSONAL SERVICE!
The Association employs seven full time employees to assist members with information and to work with them on problems they encounter. The staff is routinely in contact with the Missouri Highway Patrol, Department of Revenue, Division of Transportation, Highway & Transportation Department, Highway Reciprocity Commission, Department of Natural Resources and Federal Office of Motor Carriers concerning issues affecting our industry. Other state trucking associations assist staff to resolve questions and problems in their state. Membership doesn't cost-it pays $$$.

What's in it for me?  SAFETY PROGRAMS!
As a part of MoTA's safety program, the Association sponsors "Driver of the Month" and "Driver of the Year" contests for safe driving and helpfulness to motorists on the highway. Also Fleet Safety Contests and Truck Driving Championships are sponsored annually. The driver of the year and championship winners then compete nationally for honors. MoTA's Council of Safety Supervisors is recognized nationally for its activities. Among those activities are the programs mentioned above, educational monthly meetings, seminars, safety rest stops, etc. Membership doesn't cost-it pays $$$.

What's in it for me?  PUBLIC RELATIONS!
The Association participates in the Missouri Community Betterment Program designed to strengthen industrial development in our state. The publication, "Trucking in Missouri" presents useful facts on the positive impact of trucking on the state's economy. MoTA also issues periodic media releases to keep the media informed of the importance of trucking. Membership doesn't cost-it pays $$$.

What's in it for me?  BUSINESS SERVICES!
Services like a drug testing program, commercial drivers license screening program, and The Truckers Store for safety forms and materials, are all available to members.  By participating in these programs, you receive excellent cost effective benefits of being a part of group purchasing. What's in it for me?  ADVERTISING!
Allied members are listed in the MoTA Membership Directory which is distributed to all members and is used by many carrier members as buying reference for merchandise and services. New allied members are published in the newsletter and advertising opportunities are available in Association publications, at meetings and the annual convention. Membership doesn't cost-it pays $$$.
